Plays the same role all the time...learn to change a bit.
It's always the bored "Playing myself" Vince Vaughn. He'll never get an award if he is going to play the same character like he is in every film. He needs some variety.

shareYou're right.
But at this point I don't think Vaughn is an actor in the traditional sense.
He's a personality, in a way, like Woody Allen. Don't get me wrong, I am not comparing their relative talents in any way.
But Woody has a film persona he cannot escape. The same is true now with Vaughn.
Jack Nicholson plays himself every role and everyone loves him.
He showed range in hs earlier movies, like Return to Paradise, Clay Pigeons and Domestic Disturbance. Those were before Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell convinced him to become a full-time supporting clown.
"As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster."
