He should be in horror movies as he's not funny

Why does this guy make so many 'comedy' films, he's not funny.

In fact I find him scary. His face is scary. He hasn't a funny face at all.

Baffling.

I think you are being a bit hard on Vince Vaughn.

He has made quite a few funny, inventive films.

Over the years he has developed kind of an iconic persona and screen presence.

In films like Swingers, The Breakup, Old School, etc he has definitely made a name for himself based on his acting.

You might not like him, that is your prerogative. You may also think his face is not funny. That seems to me to be a strange conclusion to your post. But heck, it is so nice interacting with you, and it is so nice to read your opinions.

Cbartel,
wow man that was the nicest way i have seen someone post on IMDB deffending an actor :).You could of went all out dickhole lol

Anyways I actually like Vince Vaugn , and I do infact find him funny. Just watched the watch, and that wasn't a very good movie, but Vince had some of the best lines. He basiaclly had the more laughable lines in that movie ( I did infact tune out after a while so- don't have alot to work on lol). but hey hate him or love him, he still makes money doing what he does lol.

He would probably be convincing in horror films as he knows exactly what Satan's cock tastes like.

He makes other people laugh. Many other people. Comedy is subjective.

He was good in the horror movie Domestic Disturbance. As for a career in horror, that ship has sailed. After a decade of nothing but comedic roles I doubt audiences would aceept him in another genre.

The guy is a successful name so I doubt anyone would refuse to work with him. He more likely just doesn't have any interest in anything else right now. (if ever again)

Comedy is subjective, true. And VV may be a good comedian, true. But I've yet to see him in a funny film.

His films make money, and in that sense he's a success. But very much like his ass buddy Adam Sandler, his films are terribly childish and unfunny, targeted for an audience that prefers safe, feel-good diet comedies.

And also very much like Sandler, his comic routine consists of two or three guys talking at once, blabbering endless sentences, with the added bonus of the most incomprehensible pronounciation I heard in Hollywood films, as if his mouth is full at all times.

I once had to sit through an Adam Sandler movie and was horrified that even the simplest of sentences became a tirade in his lame delivery. Instead of something simple like "Good morning, how are you" he says things like "yessssire all right yeah good morning, how are you yeah yes right oh right well well yeah yesssire..." all the while through clenched teeth. He doesn't stop the nonsense even when the other character is speaking. Whoever told him that's funny should burn in hell.

I noticed the same thing in VV's films too. It's as if someone put a gun to his head and threatened to shoot him if he ever shut up. Hearing his voice starts to give me headaches after a while. He was a guest on Letterman, and lo and behold, the same thing. He didn't let Letterman utter a word, and that's a whole other accomplishment in itself.

VV should try looking for some genuinely funny scripts, if he's making enough money for the producers and has a say in the matter.
