season 2 for true detective

Should've been Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.

He plays the same character in everything he is in. He is going to ruined this season.

Some food for thought but Heath Ledger also got a ton of flack when he was cast as The Joker in The Dark Knight, people said it would be the death of the new Batman series and went on and on about how "untalented" Ledger was an actor, but most everyone was proven wrong when it came out.

Obviously, Vaughn is no Heath Ledger but if the producers and Nic Pizzolatta think he fits the character he's going to play then I'll take their word for it. There's still a chance he could be wrong for the part, but we'll all find out when the next season premieres.

Vaughn is usually typecast as the same type of character, but he's actually a good actor and I think we should be open-minded and give him a chance.

Exactly! He's played "serious" before, he's just gotten popular on the comedy. I totally buy him as either an emotionally damaged cop or twisted killer.
