Favorite Performance?
For me, it's Sophie Zawistowski from Sophie's Choice.
shareThe Devil Wears Prada (2006). One of my favorite movies and I love Streep as Miranda Priestly.
shareWhich was followed not long after by Julie and Julia. Not quite the fun film that Prada was, but as always she does her best with the material given her. Finding someone who was a good actress and actually resembled J Child would seem difficult, so give it to Streep !
Also saw her in the remake of Manchurian Candidate and the Altman film about that Lake Wobegone radio show. I never get tired of her, although I don't slavishly watch her every effort. If anything, I think she's following ME around, haha, she gets so many roles.
Seems like The Deer Hunter was also a high water mark, and maybe Sophie's Choice.
I'm surprised you chose this one. She doesn't get a lot of screen time, as I recall.
However, the movie itself is a sentimental favorite of mine, simply because I was dating a woman at the time and we saw it together. I think she actually would have "goofed around" in the theater (she insisted on sitting in the back row) but I didn't pick up on that. And it's a good movie.
She has too many to name.
