Streep nabs two more plum roles

Variety has announced production agreements for two new Maryl Streep films.

THE CUTTING EDGE: Streep will dust off her French Chef knife skills in this adaptation based loosely on the Lorena Bobbitt scandal. The film accommodates Streep's advancing age by placing the action in the dementia unit of an assisted living facility in San Francisco. Additional cast members tba.

XEROX. XEROX Streep portrays Chester Carlson, the physicist who invented a process for printing images using an electrically charged drum and dry powder "toner". As a special twist, Carlson will be portrayed as an African American and will make Streep the first actor to cross both sexual and racial lines at the same time.
