Actors Joan Collins and Brian Cox recently spoke out against the icon, best known for his portrayal of James T. Kirk on the legendary series, arguing there are plenty of problems to address on planet Earth before voyaging to space.
The actors' comments follow criticism from Prince William who spoke out against the space race, arguing the world's best minds should be focused on addressing environmental issues on their home planet.

Under that logic, we never are going to explore space, always is going to be some problem here always or hungry or natural catastrophes or something.
That mentality is just stupid same with people who complain because only the rich can make those travels ¿WTF do you expect? those travels need to be profitable and only a few people can go in every launch, of course, is going to be an elite thing at first, cellphones weren't a thing for everybody at the beginning same with computers, but investigations and investment continue at those things become more accessible in time, to the point are part of most people life, one day (and maybe we are not going to see that in our lifetime) travels to the moon and even to mars are going to be something common and more accessible but to get to that point we need to start for something and yes only ultra-rich people can pay for that but is a first step I don't know if one day we are going to be able to explore space, maybe never, maybe that is the ceiling of what are we able to achieve, but hell at least our solar system that is cool enough

No.
Shatner, the bloated tub of lard, was great as Capt. Kirk, but carting his bloated oxygen slurping butt out into space was a pathetic publicity stunt, and this "Shatner In Space" thing is proof of that. He barely survived the trip. You can see clearly his hippopotamus sized gut taking up all the space in the capsule, and no one talking to him as well, and he is trying to hide that he is sucking oxygen from a tank. With or without Shatner space explortation will continue. It ought to be serious and not a joy ride for millionaires.
