...except that at least the last two Jesse Stone tv movies were written by Tom Selleck in collaboration with someone else, "based on Robert Parkers' characters," not based on a particular book. And the ending of "No Remorse" gives honor to the LATE Robert Parker. So technically Jesse Stone could on forever. I had heard that "No Remorse" was the last one though the ending of "No Remorse" was frustratingly NOT ended. A LOT of issues still need clearing up... I really don't think it's the last show.

In "No Remorse," by the way, I was so glad that so many characters-- with the same actors playing the character-- were maintained. Was disappointed with "Sissy" being brought back; she was kind of a throw-away character and it wasn't the same actor playing her.

Don't worry, you're guaranteed at least one more Jesse Stone movie. 'Innocents Lost' has already wrapped and is ready to go. But the CBS contract ends with that. Selleck has participated in a pilot for CBS which makes me think 'Innocents Losts' will be the end of the Jesse Stone run. We'll see.

With the beginning of a new Selleck TV Series "Blue Bloods" it looks to me like he's done with Stone.

I hope they keep coming. Even if his new series works out, I hope he pops out a Jessie Stone movie every now and then. I love the movies, the character and Selleck's portrayal of Jesse Stone.

Even if he does continue in this new series, there's nothing to stop him from filming a Jesse Stone Movie every now and then during the off season, as it wouldn't take very long.

As many as he wants to do.

At this point in his career, he pretty much gets to call his own shots.

(I see on his filmography page that a third "Three Men and a ..." movie is now "In Development".)
