I definitely concur about how great it would be for Tom Selleck returning as Magnum in an "NCIS" episode. No doubt it would be a huge ratings winner for the series. I can actually picture a confrontation between Magnum and Gibbs. As for a major motion picture on "Magnum, P.I.", having someone from today's generation playing that character seems to be the norm and of course a huge money issue. Case in point: "Miami Vice". I liked the series, but Colin Farrell and Jaime Foxx portraying the roles made famous by Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas was a disaster despite being the number one film when it premiered in 2006. No one could ever replace Tom Selleck in the role of Magnum. Nevertheless, I wouldn't be surprised if producers of a new Magnum film would select someone like a Hugh Jackman to portray the private investigator. Its all about the money and box office success.
