WOW! he would've been great at Lt. Hickox in Inglorious Basterds!?!?

I loved Michael Fassbender, but just thinking that Roth was being looked at initially gets me excited also.

I am imagining him during Chapter 4 - the tavern scene...and the tension..and i know he could pull off the accent perfectly. I am sorry to say, but I think he would've played the part even better....

It would have been great to see QT work with Roth again, but I think that Fassbender nails Hicox brilliantly. Roth would have struggled with the German in the tavern scene (unless he speaks it fluently, by chance - as would Simon Pegg, who was also considered).

Let's just be glad it wasn't Simon Pegg. That would not have worked.
