LOL...I love that scene. But seriously do you think for a second Jean Stapleton was retarded just because she played Edith Bunker? She was brilliant. It takes a truly brilliant talent to play a convincing character with mental issues or with an extremely low IQ. Mr. Ribisi has excellent range and is extremely entertaining. He wouldn't be getting all of these roles if he didn't have talent, good screen presence/charisma, and intelligence. Just my humble opinion.
