Greatest Actress In the English Language Today

I've seen Geraldine Page, Shirley Booth and Edith Evans act so I will never say so and so is 'the greatest of all time.' But, what I can say is that after seeing this womans performance in Isadora and later seeing her on stage, I am convinced that she is the greatest actress alive. At her best, she is as good as it gets. She has this strange, entrancing, magnetic quality to her acting that is mesmerizing, profoundly truthful, spontaneous, alive, risky and I have never seen an actress with as much presence or radiance as this woman. She goes from Shakespeare and Chekhov to art house films to big blockbusters and back to period seamlessly. She is truly one of the great actresses of all time, and for me, the very best of our time.
