Best role?

Sad to hear of his death, but there's no denying, he was a brilliant actor. Never really had many leading roles, but no matter how big or small the role, he more often than not put in a great performance. And sometimes he was the best thing in a crappy movie.

Favourite film role? I'd have to say it's between "In The Name Of The Father" or "Brassed Off". Although, his small but pivotal role of Kobayashi in "The Usual Suspects" was also quite good, and surprisingly, in the crapfest that was "Lost World: Jurassic Park", I also enjoyed his performance.

Dragonheart was one of my favorite films when I was a kid and he played one of my favorite characters from that film, so I'd pick that one. Though I do realise he has been in better movies and played better roles, that role holds the most sentimental value to me.

For me it was as the fragile yet decent Guiseppe Conlon in 'In The name of The Father' his scenes with Daniel Day Lewis were inspired. My fav role of his for what its worth. very sad news.

Too many too mention. But I first noticed him as the Priest in Romeo + Juliet. He has starred in a lot of my fave 90's movies - Usual Suspects, Dragonheart. I just found out about his death on bbc news and came here straight after.

I'm really saddenend about this loss. It's like another part of my childhood/adolescence has gone. The last movie I've seen him in his The Town. R.I.P Pete.

I still gotta see "The Town". How substantial was his role?

I first saw him in The Lost World, he was good in it. Since then my fave is probably In The Name of the Father. I'm so shocked and sad an actor I actually admire has died!
