Voice in the Town

He has an intermittent lisp or sibilance in the Town. I've never heard him speak this way before, but it's been a couple of years since I've seen him in anything. Hopefully this was an affectation for the character and not the result of some illness I had not heard of.

If it was an affectation I'm curious as to whether he did it himself or if some sort of appliance was used to help produce the sound.

Either way, he is always fantastic and certainly was so in this movie as well.

It was the result of an illness, after all.

Rest in peace, Pete. You will be fondly remembered.

Yeah, cancer was robbing him of his voice. It was noticeable. Not to mention how skinny he was.

But he was very good in the movie!
