Was he a heavy drinker?
He's just died. Very sad. But he looked like a very heavy drinker to me.

Cancers can be attributed to excessive alcohol consumption in the same way as smoking. I believe especially in cancers that effect the Oesophagus and the liver. Although Im not saying Pete was a drinker just that it could be a possibility, even if cancer was what killed him.
Either way at 64 its still way to young, RIP

Yeah, I know he died of cancer. It's just he had a drinker's face, red and blotchy - particularly his nose.
He was a smoker and he'd been treated for cancer as far back as 1990.

He has always had that rough skin look about him it is pretty prevalent in northern england working class areas, not neccesarally down to drinking.
