The Radical right tried to kill him as a kid and imprison him as an adult

But they failed that's to the righteous.

Changing terms won't change facts. If you *must* assign right or left to the Nazis (which is ridiculous), most of their plans fall on the left side.

It's also sad that you assume those on the left were fine with Polanski raping under aged girls. When I was on the left back then, I demanded his arrest and punishment. I'd like to think my liberal friends think the same.

If you think the Nazis were left we can only conclude you're to the right of them...if that's possible. As for "raping underage girls", you mean the one incident that he served time in prison for, but understandably fled the country because the judge (probably one like rapist Brett) wanted to renege on the plea bargain and sentence him to life in prison. Finally the victim herself requested the charges be dropped. But you're right, cancel culture is a phenom. incorrectly more associated with the left and I'm against it. If we looked a little deeper we'd see most Me Too targets are figures of the left, and Tara Reade is funded by Russia, e.g. Rose McGowan supports Trump is another good example.

It's ridiculous to compare Nazis to American politics, yet people do this all the time to score political "points". Neither conservatives nor liberals of the U.S. are anything like the Nazis. But if forced to go through the excersize, then more points fall on the left side than right. Still proves nothing however.

Even if it was one girl, does that make the crime less heinous? We're talking about a 13 year old girl. If it was my daughter, Polanski wouldn't have made it out of the country. But it wasn't one, there are five complaints, and while any one of them could be total BS, it would be almost impossible for a rapist to rape one girl then have a cathartic moment and never do it again.

Polanski fled the country because he knew a jury of his peers would have found him guilty. Who know, maybe another fear was that more victims would come forward like they did when Weinstein was finally outed.

You mean like Donald? Too many rape cases to even name with him, but of course he's not in prison for life, because dark forces in this country like to imprison the innocent and reward the guilty.

And you're in denial to say there is no relation between the far right in the US of which Trump is the current head and European Fascism which actually had roots in the US. Do I equate Republicans with Fascists? Not usually, but Trump has pulled them in a Fascist direction. However many Republicans ARE rejecting him in favor of a return to democracy.

The U.S. was never a democracy - by design. The U.S. is a Representative Constitutional Republic. The difference to a democracy isn't subtle. And I honestly don't believe you know what a fascist is.
