What is his best film?
I think Rosemary's Baby is his best film. What about you?
shareNinth Gate all the way.
shareRosemary's Baby is one of my favorite films of all time so for me it's an easy choice. But in fairness I haven't seen a lot of his later work.
shareTough to answer this! Rosemary's Baby and Chinatown are both so good that I'd have to choose one of them as his best; I suppose Chinatown is my answer. The Tenant and Repulsion are also excellent, and I wouldn't fault anyone who chose either as his best. My guilty pleasure from his body of work is The Fearless Vampire Hunters, which of course isn't his best, but is my favorite of his non-bests.
shareOther of his films may be more artistic or technically proficient, but for sheer enjoyment, you CANNOT beat "The Fearless Vampire Killers".
