shareTrue, that the original is better, but people who were fans of the original want to finally see everything resolved between Kelly and Dylan. Because of that I want him to at least appear on one episode where they can finally leave everything the way fans want them to.
sharehe cant return!! the show is STUPID! they can make a movie and show all of that there.
Dean: I full on Swazyed that mother!
If he went back--he'd need to backtrack and go with Brenda. That was what had made the series/him household names. It also was what brought in masssive merchandising bucks for both the studio and Fox network.
shareDid you ever see 'Grosse Pointe'? it was a short-lived comedy created by Darren Starr which had aired on the then-WB.
Spoofing his days of working on 90210, it was a comedy ala 'Primary Colors' (a very transparent but affectionate satire).
If you had watched the early seasons of 90210, you automatically knew who was being spoofed among the 'actors'.
It was pulled after one season because of apparently Aaron Spelling did not like Tori being parodied as a nice but ditzy person. Actually, the Jason Priestly/Brandon Walsh character is the one who comes off like the big pompus jerk in this series--but not only did he not sue, he himself actually guest starred! I guess he was hard up for money and acting jobs.
Starr says Shannen Doherty/Brenda Walsh is difficult to work with, but he is gennuinely empathetic to the reasons why she is difficult. She has a horribly abusive mother and is bitchy only because she is annorexic in order to be a successful actress. He is actually nice to her in several storylines of this series!
And some people might have mistakenly thought that a series named 'Grosse' was refering to nasty/icky things instead of it just being the name of the town where the fictious parody series was being set, and that misunderstanding then failing to bring in viewers.
This is the 90210 remake which needs to be airing!
But it really could have brought in viewers--and possibly could have been the next big thing for the WB.
