Reluctant star?
For someone so talented and sexy we see so little of her these days. Any idea why?

shareYeah, you're right!
My favourite Julia Ormond film is Legends of the Fall, but she was great in Smilla's feeling for snow and the remake of Sabrina; everything else these days seems to go straight to video!
It's good to know that there is at least one fan out there - thanks for replying.
I agree that Julia is a beautiful and talented actress. She's a classic beauty, in an age when classic beauty is very rare. I loved her in Legends of the Fall. I simply could not take my eyes off her. She has such a great talent for conveying emotions without speaking a word.
As for her disappearance from the public eye, my only guess is that she's not "aging" very well. When I say she's not aging well, I mean that she's probably not the first in line for a face lift, unlike many of her vain contemporaries. It's a shame because she is so beautiful and talented.
I totally agree, and only say that it's a shame that she wasn't in more movies. It's hard to tell from the photos on this website, but I suppose she has indeed changed over the years and isn't the same anymore... But in Legends of the Fall and First Knight, she was amazing!
shareI would cast her as Shyla in a movie adaptation of Pat Conroy's "Beach Music".
shareI saw the other day that she has just had a child, so I guess we can excuse her for the time off.
Had a look at the details for Iron Jawed Angels, a tele-movie released this year and it looks like an interesting cast, although who knows when it will make an appearance here in Australia.
Absolutely agree with your comment katrine-rasmus.
Pat Conroy must be holding out for more money though, otherwise this surely would have been made into a film by now. Great book just begging to made into a film. I know Gillian Anderson loved it and I'm sure she could bring a lot to one of the characters - but Julia as Shyla? - Yeah, I can definitely see that!
