It's true, Julia Ormond will be starring opposite Rob Lowe in Beach Girls. It's on Lifetime this summer - but it's a mini-series. It looks really good - I think she plays Rob's love interest from his past, it's a meaty role, it's based on the book Beach Girls. There is more info on Lifetime's website.

shareI'm glad to see Julia back on screen but why the square kind and not the rectangle? This woman deserves to be in motion pictures! It's hard to believe, with her talent and beauty, that she doesn't get any movie roles anymore, especially since she was such a hot commodity back in the day. (It's not like she's old either -- she just barely turned forty.) It could be a good role, I guess, but just wish her latest project didn't have to air on such a dismal cable network. HBO at least has some decent original programming, as well as much bigger budgets and better production values, but Lifetime? Not so much.
