...I saw her first in Sabrina and not in Legends of the Fall.
That movie was horrible, and if I had seen her in that travesty first she probably wouldn't be one of my top 3 favorite actresses!! (the other 2 being Sophia Loren and Emma Thompson) and I'm trying to catch up on her movies! So far I've seen:
Sabrina
Kit Kittredge
First Knight
Legends of the Fall

Can some of you recommend others? I love her in period, but I'll watch her in anything! Thanks!

I loved her in Sabrina; I thought she was better than Audrey Hepburn. She also was wonderfully passive, and mothering in Kit Kittredge, An American Girl. I thought the screen play for First Knight was embryonic and simple, so much that it was almost silly but Julia did a great version of Guinevere.

If you'd like to see more Julia, she's now a regular character on Law and Order Criminal Intent. She plays Goren's therapist. Sadly, she's not in demand for many movies, the way she was in the 90s. Hollywood is hard on actresses in their 40s, even the talented and beautiful ones.

You must see Smilla's Sense of Snow!! it is amazing. It is one of the few movies that is as good as the book it is based on.

She is my favorite too. In Sabrina, she was good (in the world of the mortals, replace a goddess like Audrey Hepburn is impossible). Great Actress.
