I watched TAKEN: The EXTENDED CUT EDITION on Blu Ray.. A pretty good movie, though, the daughter(Maggie Grace) was sort of annoying with the running like a little girl when Stuart got her a horse for her Birthday and she was supposedly 17 at that?? I never did see TAKEN II or III where she supposedly became like her Dad magically overnight to aid in her mom and Dad's escape..

reply

Yeah, Maggie Grace played the character like she was 11-year-old. I quite like the film anyway but I haven't seen the extended cut.

reply

To be honest, I'm not so certain the so called "Extended Cut" is really much different then the theatrical cut other than a gimmick to sell the movie more??

reply

It's possible. I recall the movie "Identity" (2003) had an extended cut that was only one minute longer.

reply

Haven't seen this but can it be worse than Taken 3? That one was so bad that I could barely make it through. He's been in some bad stuff lately.

reply

I haven't seen this either but I agree that Taken 3 sucked.

reply

At his age he is doing too many movies, is he in some kind of financial trouble?

reply

Maybe he wants to do it before he hits 80 and can't do it anymore.

Seems pretty much like all his action movies.

reply

He did a lot of good films over the decades. It's cool if he's not going for the big Oscar flicks. Rob Roy, the Bounty, Darkman, love Actually, and High Spirits are a good resume.

reply

I don't mind him doing action movies. He's a good actor and can pull off the fighting, but I wish he did more action films that are classics. Outside of Taken, I don't think he has done a truly great action film. There's been some fun ones like Non-Stop and Unknown.
