Worst rated Murphy movie you actually liked?

I LIKE THAT ONE TOO...THE BACKSTORY IS BETTER THOUGH...ONE FILM OWED ON HIS CONTRACT...HE CHOSE THE LEAST EDDIE MURPHY SCRIPT POSSIBLE...THEN SPENT THE ENTIRE PRODUCTION BEING LATE,GOOFING OFF AND BY ALL ACCOUNTS BEING ABSENT MENTALLY THE ENTIRE SHOOT...I NEED TO REWATCH IT NOW...DAMMIT.

That was one of my favourites growing up.

The Golden Child is straight up Eddie Murphy's most underrated movie and my personal favorite of his. It was Eddie in his prime and he does a great job of carrying the film with his signature, improvised humor and charisma. I wouldn't even qualify it for this thread topic.

Off the top of my head I would say Beverley Hills cop III is the worst rated Eddie Murphy movies that I still mostly liked, but I acknowledge that it wasn't very good overall & certainly doesn't hold a candle to the original. It had a few memorable moments for me though.

I was about to mention that one. I loved it.
I haven't seen it since it came out on DVD, so I don't know if I would still like it. I was a teenager.
