help, what is this other military movie im thinking of -

see if you can think of this military movie; its driving me nuts

takes place like at a camp

they leave the camp for a dance, there is one lady who is a hooker, they all go to this house; i remember a scene about her perfume

there is a black drill instructor or officer that gets dies on the side of the road; by drunk whites

there is a drill instructor that is nuts and is going to shoot the main character at the end of the film - in which case the main character tells his dumpy wussy friend to leave so he is not to get hurt

then the ending is him riding on a bus to somewhere with the army????

Sounds very similar to Tigerland with Colin Farrel

that's Biloxi Blues with Christopher Walken and Matthew Broderick.

Cold also be Cadence (1991) but I have to admit not seeing it in years

Matthew wasn't in Cadence. How about Memphis Belle?

The movie this guy is talking about is definitely 'Biloxi Blues', as the guy a few posts above pointed out. The only part I don't recall happening is the black man being beaten to death? Either way, it has to be 'Biloxi Blues'.
