How to meet him or attend conventions/screening s/events

Hi, all! I am absolutely enamored with Malcolm McDowell as an actor, performer, and person (oh, his caustic wit ...), and I would love to meet him at one of his panels or public events. I know that he attends a fair number of them from his purported convention appearances around North America and film screenings/Q&As in Southern California. However, it's very difficult to find out when and where he will be for these public events.

Does anyone know of a website I can use that lists all of Malcolm's upcoming public appearances? Or does anyone personally know of any upcoming appearances, particular in Southern California? I have been furiously Googling and using Malcolm's IMDB news feed, but there must be a more efficient way. Thank you!

I met him at an event called Horrorfind in Baltimore, MD in 2007. Google for horror and sci fi cons in your area and areas you'd be willing to travel to. Once you find some annual ones, set up Google alerts. Tom Savini hits a lot of horror ones, take him or someone else who does all the cons and go back in their events schedule a couple years to get the names of regional events held every year.

fyi, Horrorfind was a heavy drinking event, and I believe McDowell is an alcoholic on the wagon. While Udo Kier, Tony Todd, Doug Bradley and others were often hanging out & drinking in the bar, McDowell only did the official events he was specifically scheduled for.
