So many credits...

... and so few awards. I mean, he's so long in business and has done so many movies, but never won a big award. I think, he is a great actor (remember Clockwork Orange), but he gets too few good roles. Maybe he has bad agents.

Opinions?

The man is lo-o--ng overdue getting an award. Two of them, actually. For being such a great all-around actor; and, ultimately, a special award for his role in "A Clockwork Orange". He brought to life the fictional character of Alex DeLarge. Malcolm was nominated for "A Clockwork Orange" in the '70's, but didn't win. He should get a special award for it. Never mind he's been in B-movies - he's a great actor, and very versatile.

Malcolm McDowell is A#1 in my book!

Funny you wrote that... months ago. I just counted all the actual good movies he's in, at least in my opinion. There's three. Maybe four. He is a great actor, but he picks pretty bad movies. It sucks. :/

The term 'actual good movies' is very subjective and for you too just assume that the ones you have dubbed good/bad is a shallow perspective.
I happen to know of many lesser known, edgier yet excellent films he has done. Examples: The Barber, Between Strangers, Red Roses and Petrol, Barry Munday,
Halloween, In Good Company, Evilenko, Hidalgo, I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, Gangster no. 1. So maybe you should research the career of an actor you decide to judge
before doing so, because Malcolm has done many more than just 3 or 4 'great movies'.

There are more movies on his CV than I'm ever going to see. There's a good chance at least a third of them's not even worth it. Some of the lesser known movies he did have a certain charm, like Asylum or Moon 44. But some of them really don't )

Well dreamscape, if you stopped eating your cheetos for a second you'd see I wrote "at least in my opinion." Since when is having an opinion shallow?

Right, Malcolm is one hard-working actor, with so many credits that you'd think that he ought to be famous by now, but I haven't seen any of his films either.

At this point, Malcolm has thirteen! films in production or on the slate!

I hope that he finally earns some recognition one day for someting well-deserved.
