Ummm help with a movie???

I remember this movie from when I was a kid where....i think the plot was the young guy going to rescue a rich girl in a jungle who had been kidnapped by some pirates. I'm positive it was an 80s teen movie...and i could swear andrew was the lead male....any help would be appreciated

Think you might be thinking of a John Cusack film called "Hot Pursuit"....the plot sounds similar. Check it out, it's a pretty funny little film.
