They wound up putting him on a different episode, but with Chris Noth instead.
This "fight" took place in 2003 (season 2), two years before Noth came on board. Noth has nothing to do with the McCarthy incident.

Did Andrew actually say they put him on a Noth ep because he was fired from the Goren one? If so, that's not true because Noth wasn't even around in 2003.

Apparently Vincent wanted Andrew to do something a certain way and Andrew disagreed so they fired him from that episode!!
He was fired most likely due to the heated argument they had, not simply because he didn't do precisely as VDO wanted. Chris Penn wanted to change some thinggs around and VDO said "let's let Chris do as he wants". It doesn't make sense that he'd be agreeable with Penn and so unreasonable with McCarthy.

Andrew was very gracious about it though - he didn't say anything nasty or rude.
He wasn't so gracious in 2003.

Both have commented on this incident. First, McCarthy's version: McCarthy said Vincent was bossing him around, trying to direct him and Andrew got ticked and they started arguing. McCarthy claimed Vincent threatened him with "physical violence" and left the set after still arguing with Vincent. He was then fired.

Vincent's version: Said he made some suggestions to Andrew and it ticked Andrew off and they started arguing. He said he walked away cos he didn't want to argue like that. His response to Andrew saying he was gonna punch Andrew: "What am I gonna do? A Big guy like me? My shadow could knock him over".

I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I think VDO DID annoy Andrew and I think they DID have an argument but I doubt VDO tried to punch him or anything of the sorts. He has a rep for yelling, not punching.

but I think I would be scared to work with him ... he seems a bit intense.
He's sounds like the type you'd need to stand your ground with and calmly reason with him. I certainly wouldn't have a problem telling to bite me if I think he got too obnoxious though. People like this will steamroll you unless you stand your ground.
