Favorite Andrew McCarthy Film???

I like Heaven Help Us a lot. I wish they'd put that and The Beniker Gang on DVD!!

Mmm...I dunno! I loved his character in Weekend At Bernies, St. Elmos Fire and i love Pretty In Pink.

He was my favourite Brat Packer without a doubt!

reply

He was definitely my favorite from the Brat Pack too!

I hope everyone was lucky enough to catch him on the t.v. show "Monk" a couple months back. It's a terrific show, but that episode was the best! Andrew played a murderous teacher at a private school. Classic performance!

Cool! ur fav too. No, I never seen that, I dont think we get Monk in the UK, ive not heard of it!!

reply

You don't get Monk in the UK?! Bummer! It's a really good show. You can look it up on the IMDB here. Check out the guest appearances and you'll see the terrific Mr. McCarthy. : )

I think they are starting to put some episodes on DVD, so maybe you could catch it that way someday? Hopefully!!

We did get Monk in the UK. BBC2 used to show it on Saturday afternoons at about 4pm in their Watching the Detectives slot.

They showed the first series in early 2003, then they repeated it this year rather than buying the second series!

It was on the Hallmark channel on Sky this year too - only the first series again though!

It is a great series and I hope they eventually show the later series here.

I liked "Pretty In Pink", and "Fresh Horses".

reply
