I met her today.

She was filming Cedar Cove where I live. I watched the filming go on for a little while then walked by and said "Hi." With a really pleasant big smile she said "Hey!" She seems like a really nice person.

Fantastic! Really nice to read something like this :)

Maybe she was suggesting you eat some HAY.

reply

Cool! She seems really sweet and down to earth! Seems very approachable too.

reply

Yeah, Yeah...She's real nice. O.K...... DOES SHE LOOK AS GREAT IN PERSON AT 55 AS SHE DOES ON TV?

What actors and actresses who usually play nice characters are the complete opposite in real life?

By all accounts, Andie MacDowell is a nasty piece of work in real life.

Remembering her charming characters in films like Greencard and Groundhog Day, I was initially loath to accept this. It just couldn’t be true. She was the epitome of butter-wouldn’t-melt sweetness and innocence.

Alas, four credible British presenters/journalists have said she’s one of the worst-natured guests they’ve ever encountered. If you’re interested, they were Richard & Judy, Lorraine Kelly and Mariella Frostrup, who each said that MacDowell was a rude, stroppy diva.

Richard Madely:

We've had two utter disasters on This Morning. Andie MacDowell wouldn't even make eye contact and was incredibly snotty. Chris Rock was on with Ben Stiller and simply talked over my questions. A complete and utter cock. I hate him.

And also in a different quote:

Q Which celebrity did you hate interviewing most?

Richard: Andie McDowell. You asked her how she felt about the way women are treated in Hollywood and she looked at you as if you'd crawled out of the ground. "I can't get into this with someone like you," she said. Then she stormed off.

Nah, I thought. Can’t be. I won’t have it.

Except that at one point, I saw it with my own eyes. I saw outtake footage of one of her interviews with Frostrup. I couldn’t believe it. Upon being asked a perfectly valid, innocuous question, she started huffing and puffing and berating Frostrup. She treated her so rudely and condescendingly, threatening to walk off the set.

Maybe she was having a bad day?

She was nice to an anonymous fan. Perhaps she's a complex, multidimensional person with flaws and virtues just like the rest of us.

Hey !?!
I have no Flaws ...
nor Virtues.

"Maybe she was having a bad day"

That's the excuse my wife always makes for assholes.

You think assholes don't have bad days too?
