I could be wrong, but from what I recall, the girl was out hanging with an older friend of hers, and may have lied about her age just to get with him---the tape got out without his knowledge, and yeah, it did stop his career in its tracks for a few years. He took his punishment and dealt with it, then after a while managed to work his way back into the public's good graces. Also, a sex tape has rarely jump-started anyone's career---the Kardashians being an exception, but that's about it.
