Pretty much what the other reply said, cept that the budget of Voyager didnt allow for Krige as an ONGOING recurring role, so they brought in another actress, until the Finale, when the replacement actress was *NOT* available to complete the series, they brought in krige to finish it. A sort of "ahhh to hell with the budget" for the finale of Season 7.

Alice wasn't available when they asked her to reprise the role for Voyager. When they did the finale Susanna Thompson was not available so they asked Alice.

They kept the best
actress for the series finale

I agree. Though Thompson did a good job, I liked Krige's portrayal of the Borg Queen better. Very evil and intelligent. You could see the malice in her eyes.
