In 21 YEARS Paramount/Miramax can't press a R1 of the cult classc KAFKA?
I look around me and see an abundance of AMIME and remakes that are a pathetic substitute for the original.
And yet KAFKA -- which I grant you is probably beyond the scope of the average American viewer who couldn't contemplate art noir if someone gave him Cliff Notes AND a college degree -- KAFKA, a brilliant interpretation of "The Castle" worthy of any self-respecting student of Film and one of Irons' best performances, gets passed over.
This is a familiar gripe of mine, but I just realized that two decades have passed since this dark, disturbing film was released, and the omission is just unforgivable.
Jeremy Irons Fans, DEMAND YOUR KAFKA! Even if it's buried in a boxset!
