shareWOW!! thanks for the pics. That second one looks like a hot mess. I saw Species 2 a while back, then saw her on Secret Circle. She looked different. Wow!!
shareThe first photo is a promo picture and has clearly been Photoshopped to hell. Not a good example. The second picture is more accurate, but even that could be touched up.
Personally I don't think she's aged that well.
perhaps you're right.
shareWatching The Secret Circle, I thought she was 45-ish. I was surprised to come here and find out she's 37. But, yeah, her face does look different from what I remember--she looked haggard on Drop Dead Diva too. She's still an attractive woman but definitely not aging well, especially when you consider there are many actresses in their mid to late 30's who could pass for 20-somethings.
shareThanks again for proving my point about how female and male actors are treated differently in Hollywood and society.
The first "Species" film is over 17 years old and she's aged quite well, I could say that Charlie Sheen and Michael Douglas don't look the same as they did when they made "Wall Street", but men aren't judged as harshly if at all when they age.

She definitely looks great for her age. People always have to look for something negative to say. And you're on point with age discrimination against women. It's horrendous how women still say Sean Connery is hot, but take a woman over 35 and there is terrible scrutiny there, as if the same people will never become that age one day.
shareI'm certainly not blind to the disparity between how males and females of a similar age are viewed. And I find it disgraceful. But that has absolutely nothing to do with my point. I wasn't judging Henstridge in a gender context, merely stating my opinion of how she looks to ME, especially when contrasted with actresses of a similar age who look (again, to ME) much better. That's not called negativity. That's called an honest opinion.
