Yes, that is the one and only Crispin Glover. He's been writing and publishing his own books for some time now.

He does write books, though not in the conventional sense. It seems more like he appropriates old books and pictures and changes them. He adds things, crosses bits out, recontextualises parts and does illustrations.

That's how it came across when I went to one of his shows and he did a reading and slideshow. I didn't buy any of the books though, so I haven't seen one up close (except via the slideshow).

Okay thanks. Are they old or something? The only other one I found is like $350 on amazon, for that one, and the others are different prices. Or maybe he doesn't print very many.

Well, I don't really know. There are some available for purchase on his website (they are $30 each), but that title you found on Amazon isn't among them. I guess he doesn't print very many, and that one's out of print. As far as I'm aware, you can generally only buy them from Crispin's website, or in person at one of his shows, so I don't imagine he'd print huge numbers of them.

I actually thought about bidding on the book until I read that it has personalized message to someone named Jason inside the book! I don't want to pay so much money and then have to cross out the name Jason and write my name next to it in a silver sharpie. Jason, how could you?!?

Argh, just when I'd made up my mind NOT to bid, the dude re-listed it. I don't know. It would still be really cool to have it since Crispin signed it, even if it's to someone else. Guess I could skip Gran Turismo 5 for a week...lol.
