Is he, or is he not?
crazy?
shareNo. I think. I mean, I find him quite relatable, anyway.
And I was so sure this was going to be the inevitable "is he gay" thread, lol.

shareLike many talented people who were too insecure to rely on their talent, such as Michael Jackson, Gary Busey, Eric Roberts and a host of others, he chose to appear as crazy, or quirky, or a bad boy, or whatever. And it ruined a beautiful carreer.
Glover's craziness was a bad act. And it cost him dearly. He'll be remembered as the guy who was ushered off Letterman.
rookgaroo: In what way has it "ruined" his career? He does the kind of work he wants to do, exactly the way he wants to do it. He still gets jobs -- in 2010 alone, he was in two studio films (Alice in Wonderland & Hot Tub Time Machine). The money he makes from those films provide him with the means to make his own films, publish his own books, and interact with his fans on his tours.
To the best of my knowledge, he's never been a druggie or a boozer and, unlike many so-called "successes", hasn't bounced in and out of rehab or been married and divorced countless times. While many in the film industry might regard him as eccentric, there also seems to be a consensus that he is a very talented and intelligent actor with a charmingly inimitable style.
Too many people are intent on rehashing the Letterman appearance. It was more than twenty-three years ago, folks. Move on, already.
Hear hear, Calliope!

No. He is attracted to slightly off-kilter small projects, and is type-cast as a crazy guy in the bigger projects.
I met him at a screening, and he seemed perfectly normal. A little shy, but very friendly and engaging.
