Teri Garr's real age....born 1944....

Boys you see alotta strange things about when she was born--here it says 1949, or 1947, once I saw 1952(!!) somewheres. What--she was showing up as a go-go dancer in 'Fun in Acapulco' (1964) and the TAMI Show(same year) in a bikini or whatever at 14 or 16 or 17?? C'mon guys....Do Your Homework. Leslie Halliwell's film guides show right there in black and white, Garr was born December 11th, 1944. Makes 100% perfect sense when you then take a look-see at her career. Same exact thing as Toni Basil (Hey Mickey!)--showgirl parts in Elvis movies, TAMI show, etc, claimed in '82 to have been born in 1950. Sure guys....what, was Basil 14 in the TAMI show as a go-go dancer w/ Garr in boots and minis'? not a chance in hell. Then you see on VH-1 a yearbook photo of Toni Basil, from the class of 1961.....Oh GEE what a surprise....Garr same idea.

Anyways....

Agreed, even the IMDB listing says that she was 11 when her father passed away, and his IMDB file shows his date of death in 1956.

Was the baby she had in 1993 born to a surrogate? 49 is kind of old to be having a baby, if she really was born in 1944 and not 1949.

reply

49 is not as old as it used to be what with all the drugs techniques they have now.

Came on here to see if anyone was talking about the birthdate listed. Knew it had to be off. Can't blame her tho (if indeed she is the one responsiblefor the deception). Affects work.

Yeah I was stunned tonight seeing her on Letterman---putting this nicely---she's really looking like a grandmother. Heavier and older, I know she has MS, but it doesn't seem to effect her much.

reply

She adopted her daughter. Her new bio discusses this.

reply

Yeah. I noticed that she's put on a lot of weight and aged considerably in the past 5 years. I'm sure that whatever meds she's on may also contribute to her changed appearance.

Remember how the steroids Jerry Lewis took made him puffy?
MS affects people in different ways, and the same can be said about the drugs people take for their ailments.

Gotta also remember what 60 really looks like. 95% of Hollywood has work done. A normal 60 by comarison looks much older now.

Aren't you gonna tell me to break a leg?
Break 'em both.
