Was he growing another head out of his chest?

I must admit I'm baffled by the story that he was traumatized by being asked to remove his shirt, after showing up to a casting for a role that would require it.

Now, for my tastes, he is remarkably ugly, and I wouldn't want to reveal that either. But come on. You show up, you do what the casting agent says, in terms of posing, clothing, etc. They don't want to find out on the day of the shoot that you're growing a second head out of our chest, named Bill.

The spite of this, carrying this grudge for long enough to gloat that she's no longer in that position is pretty childish. (Of course, we don't learn what position she does have).

If you've seen paparazzi photos of him at the beach, he has a VERY hairy back. Having a hairy back is very embarrassing for a guy, especially someone who has to carry and image of sex appeal.

But hasn't he already appeared topless in a couple of films? I thought maybe he did a shirtless scene in When a Man Loves a Woman. Seems like an odd thing to flip out over.

Dalton and Craig! Accept NO substitutes!

the "topless" scene in When a Man Loves a Woman was when sitting inside a hot-tub... so you can't see all of the hair because he's in water.
other than that, I don't recall very many topless scenes of his...
maybe he should use Nair or something? It would open up a lot more doors for him...

He had a dead conjoined twin on his shoulder that removed, might have left a big scar, he might not want to reveal this unpleasant side of his to the world.

I think he is twice the man of normal people :p

"he is remarkably ugly"
Great, I just had someone remark I look like him.

I think he's just one of those who doesn't enjoy nudity in films. I have never seen him do a real, 'nude scene,' in all of these years. And he has stuck to that.

Pacino is the same, he doesn't like having his shirt off even as a young man.
