I haven’t seen any of Sam Elliott’s movies, but I am vaguely aware of the controversy over his dislike of the latest Channing Tatum film, ‘The Power of the Dog’.

On one hand, Elliott is a 77-year old man who has played gruff cowboy characters in various Western films and series for over half a century during his career as an actor.

On the other hand… its logical to assume that, like all 77-year old men, Elliott is woke and loves watching art house movies that subvert the notion of masculinity in Westerns - revealing the latent repression and self-denial of eating pudding that underlies the rugged cowboy archetype - just like 79-year old Martin Scorsese loves to watch Marvel movies.

Although I am getting some subtle SJW vibes from Elliott, I hope that I’m proven wrong.

No, the Channing Tatum movie is just called "Dog".

"Power of the Dog" is a western with Benedict Cumberbatch and set in Montana in the 1920's. That is what Elliott is criticizing. Rightly so, if what I've read is true.

Further, you shouldn't have to look so hard to find out a movie is alphabet people propaganda. Which is how they like it, so that you spend your money before you find out it's just more social engineering. That and they want to pollute everything with that crap. Especially the western genre, which used to be sacred. Thumbing their noses at tradition.

There is an art to trolling. You've got to dial it back a little, just to get people to possibly consider you are serious, then once you get them on the hook, you can really lay into them with the nonsense. Work on your craft and get back to me.
