TV mini series in the early 90s?

Hi

I could swear that he was in a mini series, or one off, with (I thought) Celia Imrie and Steven Mackintosh where

- Jennifer becomes pregnant during the war
- She leaves and has the baby in secret
- Meanwhile Celia pretends to be pregnant, as she is married, and when the baby comes, takes it as her own
- That Steven Mackintosh either played Celia's real son or the new baby when it had grown up

Anyone else remember this?

You are not thinking of 'A Dark Adapted Eye' 1994 based on a Ruth Rendell novel are you? This film featured Celia Imrie, but was Helena Bohham Carter or Sophie Ward not Jennifer Ehle who starred.

Arent you thinking of the Camomile Lawn, set during WW2, lots of relationships and adultery. No Celia Imrie but Felicity Kendall and Tamsin Outhwaite. Im watching it on Btitish TV now, so not seen the end. Its great.
