Something makes me cringe

Perhaps it is just me-as I mean no offense to anyone that enjoys her acting, but I can't stand her acting. It's just-annoying, that sort of nails on a chalkboard feeling when she smiles.

She sort of looks like she belongs in the shining when she smiles actually...

Wha?! her smile is radiant and generous.

She looks a bit too smug at times for my liking, but she is beautiful nonetheless.

Hahahahah..I thought I was the only one.

I agree... I know that everyone loves her as Elizabeth Bennett, but MY Elizabeth, the one that I have imagined in my head for years since I read the novel, does not smile that much. She is not smug, she is quick. She is not obviously sarcastic, she is witty and honest. This Elizabeth looks like she wants to crack up laughing half of the time, and I think that the real Elizabeth is more pensive, more serious, light-hearted, but deep. I think that you can portray a sense of humor and charm without walking around with a silly smile on your face for no reason.

Go Keira. :)

I like her smile. I liked her acting. I liked her as Lizzie. I must have really liked her portrayl (and the other cast members in the 1995 series) because it made me pick up the novel and read it!

Jane Austen described Elizabeth as lively. When I think of a lively person they're usually smiling.
