I just saw her as Ana's mother. I knew she was in it, but I've only seen her as Elizabeth Bennett. I likes her as her mother :)
Funny though that Ana was a Enlish litterature student, and one of her favorite was Jane Austen, but not her number 1 favorite...

Well, as I've said in two other threads, I no longer have any respect for her, for signing up for a piece of plagiarised, crappy, abusive Twilight fan fiction.
She has seriously ruined the 1995 Pride and Prejudice for me. I always thought she was too smug and bitchy for Elizabeth Bennet, but now I know she is cheap and tacky enough for Fifty Shades, I have no respect for her as an actress either.
wow that's hard words...based on only a few minutes... I don't care if it's a twilight rip off, I think 50 shades have a better story.
I love the 1995 P andP adaption, and I think she was perfect as Elizabeth. And she will always have my respect, even more now after she was tough enough to say yes to play Anas mother. And she didn't sell her self, I read somewhere that she know the director Sam Johnson, and they've wanted to work together.

I don't judge actors for projects they take. Heck Colin Firth did Mama Mia and was ridiculous in it, but these people have to eat just like the rest of us and that film was also a huge box office hit.
I am not a 50 Shades fan, but Jennifer has and continues to do interesting projects for the most part while being an actual full time mom(and not a Hollywood full time mom). She's not an A list actor so I am not sure what kind of projects you think a female who in in her mid 40's and is not that well known can land.
Marcia Gay Harden, an Oscar winner was also in the film. I think she's a fine actress but the same applies to her.

After P and P whenever I saw her on screen I was always like, jolted :-), because I didn't see in movies often and so a nice surprise to see her. Her roles were often small but I always recognized her immediately.

shareBecause as bad as it may sound and as being a part of the industry I can tell you what her agent told her, as you put it "being in a 'crap porn'" will get her a million times the exposure because this is what the audience pays to see. So it's the paying audience you should have disdain for if anybody. And as someone on here said they have to eat.
