I know Jennifer is an at home mom a good part of the time, but can someone please give her a more substantial role in a film or TV show. How about a role on the new series of True Detective?

shareWell since I haven't seen her performance I have no idea if it's "cringeworthy" as you say. I do know that she and Marcia Gay Harden will likely be the 2 best things in that film no matter how awful it turns out. And they both have very small roles and were likely cast to provide at least some pedigree to the film. Hey actors have to eat. Who am I to judge the projects anyone decides to take to earn some money.
She still does prestige work, Zero Dark Thirty, Contagion, and Broadway theatre. She's got 2 Tony awards for goodness sake, one she won over her mother. I'd just like to see her in more. She was a guest star on the Blacklist this season with James Spader and was very enjoyable. It's just disappointing we don't get to see more of her.
Just read that she has a few "gauzy" flashback scenes as the recently-deceased wife of Kevin Costner's character in Black and White. Sounds like another waste of her talents, but at least she didn't end up on the cutting room floor entirely, as she did in Michael Clayton.
