Yes Kevin Feige is the power behind the throne but the man who put the throne in place was RDJ.

I will be forever grateful to Downey Jr. for his spot-on portrayal of Tony Stark/Iron Man. That first movie in 2008 was the home run that launched the entire MCU. Made on a budget of 150 million, it grossed about 500 million. Since then, the MCU has gone on to gross a staggering 15 billion through 20 movies. No other movie franchise in history has accomplished such a feat.

Thank you RDJ! I mean, thank you Tony!!

Well, super heroes movies are not my thing neither... but I'd say you are right! Like it or not, it is a huge thing right now and it grosses phenomenal amounts of money. So yeah, congrats to them and yes, Iron Man started it all.
