From what the cast have said about him, the only problem he ever really had was with Dan Harmon, maybe with the exception of Donald Glover - https://www.thethings.com/everything-community-cast-has-said-about-chevy-chase/ this article kinda suggests that there was tension between Chase and Glover, but the other cast members? Not so much, albeit sometimes having the kind of humor that rubbed some people the wrong way at times. So I'm not sure he was ever actually a jerk.
