Charles Bronson's worst movie, continued...

For my money, Charles Bronson's worst movie was, KINJITE. In the movie, Bronson has to play the role of a bigoted person as he expressed some negativity about Asians. But if you watch carefully, it became clear to me that Charles Bronson was not a real bigot in real life and had a hard time playing the role of a bigot. His acting was poor and unconvincing probably because he beheld the character's role in distaste.

Now Bronson was uniquely capable of expressing and depicting his humanity through his iconic stone face. In KINJITE he finally gets to do this in the scene where he observes the Japanese father of the kidnapped Japanese girl break down and start crying. Bronson's character is genuinely surprised to observe such emotion in a Japanese man, having harbored stereotype beliefs of Japanese men as having balls of steel fighting for the emperor. In that moment Ronson realizes the humanity of other people from other races and ethnic groups who feel the same love and distress for their loved ones.

Kinjite his worst movie? You got to be joking. He makes a guy eat his own watch in that movie.

Let me repeat that. He is such a bad dude that HE MAKES A GUY EAT HIS OWN WATCH. Any film with a scene like that is not all bad.

Sorry to disagree, but I like Kinjite. It's sloppy at times but entertaining in my opinion. I liked that he played a bigot. Hey, it's just a character. And we got to see him as the tough guy and he had a lot of dialogue. Also I like the sleazy 80s films he was in. It's a bizarre film with clumsy philosophising but it wasn't stupid. And it's got its right wing values presented in such a cartoonish way just like the Death Wish sequels. I really like this film and can't agree at all.

My worst- Capo Blanco, Telefon and Love and Bullets. They are just too bland for me. Note: I've only seen his 70s- 90s films, and I mean all of them.
