Brutally overacting/emoting of late

it seems all her performances of late are brutally overacted and soo bad. the alice movies, harry potter, Cinderella. maybe it doesn't help she is playing eccentric characters, but even these she takes to suchextremes of over acting and over emoting almost every single line delivery is cringeworthy.

her more subtle yet deep acting like in fight club and even planet of the apes (yes terrible movie but believable performance) by her is long gone...

I can only image other actors and casts just looking around embarrassingly as she constantly screams, yells and over delivers every line....

"i hate, you, aaaauuughhhhhhhlllllllllll" (through the looking glass quote). even her fellow overactress Hathaway looks calm, reserved and subdued in comparison.

Its sad because Helena is an amazing actress... but she seems to think quantity, like being more loud, yelling more, screaming more, making bigger facial expressions and being more dramatic, comes above quality....

After all those years as Tim Burton’s muse she does seem to be the first point of call for anyone looking for wild, over the top characters. She’s a gifted actress so hopefully she’ll get a great role soon which actually showcases her talents.
