I read one of her grandfathers hailed from Burma. In some pics, she does look a little Asian.

Actually from the way that is phrased I'm not sure if Mary Mitchell is Kate's great-grandmother or her fathers. So Ma Ninhe could be Kate's great-great-grandmother or great-great-great-grandmother. Which is a fair way back. I don't see it in Kate's face myself but now that you've mentioned it perhaps I do in her fathers?
She looks about as much Burmese as Russell Crowe looks Maori which he also claims distant ancestry.
