Matt Damon and Christian Bale should do a movie together

Damon has repeatedly said that Christian is one of his favorite actors (at the Palm Springs Gala he said "Two of my favorite actors are here Christian Bale and Michael Fassbender...") and it really looks like he respects him a lot, especially if you look at the pictures they have together they look like they get along well. And Bale looks like he really respects Matt as well.

They would be so great in a movie with each other I hope it happens

Yes, Damon is a fan, that has been clear for a long time. They do seem to get on well, but then again they both seem like people who'd get along well with most people. If there's a suitable project and no schedule conflicts they might work together one day, remains to be seen.

@2:02 this is where Damon says that Bale and Fassbender are his two favorite actors in the world. High praise indeed

That would be awesome

That would be great.

Interestingly, they both were up for the same role in The Fighter. Damon came close to being cast but I think had scheduling conflicts, then Brad Pitt was almost cast, and then Bale obviously played it.

Damon would have been a great Mickey Ward I think. Better than Walberg, who was good, but Damon has a similar build and can get in great shape when he needs to, and is also a better overall actor.

Yeah, well, Damon might have been fine as Micky Ward, but that wasn't really an option. Wahlberg was involved from early on (it took years to get the movie made), and it was a personal passion project for him (as fan and friend of Ward), and he wanted to be in it. So his role was basically not available to anyone else. And he offered Dicky's role to CB. (And they together "cast" Russell to direct.) I suppose some actors as well as Aronofsky had dropped out because the movie took its time getting made, so people moved on to other projects - which of course isn't unusual. Or they dropped out for other reasons.

I know, I'm just saying he would have been a better Mickey Ward and he and Bale would have been a great duo.
