Not much of a praise. Just talked about how Bale was in character before the movie started filming

I always thought it was hilarious, CB doing that - no doubt he had fun, and it was a great way to test the character he had sculpted on its original creator. Clearly CB's interpretation was working...

Lol, he hates CB because he and harron made bateman a joke. Lol, he hates CB because he and harry made bateman a joke. I do not think he wrote the book intending that as a satire.
shareHates? Where did you get that idea? There's certainly nothing in those clips to suggest hate, and I've never seen anything else to suggest anything negative towards either Bale or Harron. Is there something I've missed and you could point me towards to?
And how do you think Ellis intended his book? I haven't really read or watched much what he has said. Nor have I read his book (and never intend to). But isn't the book social criticism, as is the movie. My understanding is that core remained.

I think hatred is a strong word, but I remember that a long time ago, I think it was in the twiter, the journalist jenelle rilley speaking that ellis badmouth bale at a party.

Haha I guess this did not come out right. I also did not read the book, but I think, yes, it is a social satire, but it is also very misogynist, and many people consider Bret Misogynist. And the film was written and directed by two women and many consider the film feminist. I remember reading an article about it and why Ellis does not like the movie very much.

Oh, I may not have seen that tweet, at least I don't remember it. Jenelle Riley, though...? Okay, she isn't just anyone, so hmmm... I'd need further details, but that sounds pretty bad for Ellis then...
To comment on the second part of what you said...
from the article you posted the link to:
To me it’s most definitely a feminist film. Bret really thought he was writing a feminist book. I remember seeing him speak and really talk about that and how he was actually hurt and shocked that feminists spoke out against his book because he thought he was writing a feminist book and that’s what we saw in it. It's just that he went all crazy with it so it's hard to get past that gruesomeness. Another conversation we had all the time is at what point does it go from satire to exploitation and not the good kind of exploitation that everybody thinks is so cool but people getting off on how violent it is.
I think it is indeed very possible that the above is absolutely correct. I can understand how describing extreme violence (and especially violence of the sexual kind) towards women can easily be seen as being misogynist even if the intention of having it in the book wasn't. Describing violence in detail and at length can easily overshadow anything else - even if fashion etc. is described with similar detail. Maybe Ellis didn't get that if he was so shocked by the reaction by many to his book. It's understandable that the movie can be seen as feminist and the book as misogynist - even if the book wasn't intended as such either. The movie took a very different approach to violence. Thank goodness the people who did the movie got to make it or it might have been a disaster.
Plus Ellis' attitude is likely influenced by what she said earlier in that article: that Ellis is probably sick of hearing about the movie, and many thinking that it's better than the book, and all that. - It's exactly since I know it has pages and pages of disgustingly brutal violence that I won't be reading it. (A friend of mine read one random page, said she felt sick to her stomach, and she will never see the movie - despite me obviously telling her that it's not particularly violent at all, nothing sickening is shown, that she has surely seen far worse in countless movies, and this movie is clever and funny. But... nope.)
At a party 2 years ago, Bret Easton Ellis told me he thinks Christian Bale is overrated. So clearly, overrated=genius. Jenelle Riley's quote on Bret Easton Ellis in 2012
In 2010 ,her quote on BEE about CB Also, Bret Easton Ellis was totally smack-talking Christian Bale.
Oh... Okay, thanks.
Riley is pretty awesome, btw. She needs to do a couple of hour interview with CB ASAP.
I mean... I need to see and hear her chat with CB for a couple of hours, ASAP, please and thank you.
The original tweet is from 2010/08/25
Riley did 25 interviews with Bale since their first interview.Sometimes She jokes about it and the fact that CB named her during a huge press conference
