I saw ths movie at the theatre when it first came out - and for some reason it wasn't a favorite. Then a couple nights ago I watched it again and I liked it a lot.
Don't know what happened the first time but I'm glad I rewatched.
So now the only CB movie I don't like (except for the last 45 minutes) is The New World.
I know, I've never gotten that criticism. I think he's a very natural actor (by which I mean he just IS and doesn't make a big deal about ACTing), and a lot of his best work is very subtle. Most real people aren't very demonstrative about how they feel at any given moment and what they are thinking - you can see it maybe only in their eyes if you really look... and that's what CB does. He's anything but a cold actor - so much warmth there. And yeah, actors widely adore him, they know what's what.
